Rules checked in October 2026. Your coordinator confirms them before every trip.

Below are the points that matter for citizens of Turkmenistan, from the e-visa and the journey from Ashgabat to registration and documents. Your coordinator checks the current rules and travel options before every trip.

Entry and stay

  1. 1

Citizens of Turkmenistan need a visa to enter Azerbaijan. The usual option is an electronic visa issued through the official ASAN Visa portal evisa.gov.az. Please apply only on this official website.

  2. 2

A standard e-visa is usually issued in about 3 working days, and with urgent processing in about 3 hours. It is a single entry visa that allows a stay of up to 30 days.

  3. 3

If you stay longer than 15 days, you must register at the place of stay with the State Migration Service within 15 days of arrival. Usually the hotel or the resort submits it, and your coordinator checks that it is done.

  4. 4

If the treatment plan may take longer than 30 days, tell us in advance so that the dates and the paperwork can be planned in time. Please also check that your passport is valid for the whole trip.

Getting to Azerbaijan

Baku can be reached from Ashgabat by flights, directly or with a connection, as available for your dates. Options change with the season and the airline. A Caspian ferry between Turkmenbashi and the port of Alat near Baku also carries passengers, but it has no fixed timetable and sailings depend on the weather and cargo, so it suits only travellers with flexible plans. Your coordinator checks the current options, and our driver meets you at the airport in Baku or at the port.

Money and payments

  • The local currency is the Azerbaijani manat. Many visitors bring cash in US dollars or euros and exchange it at banks or licensed exchange offices in Baku.
  • Whether a card works abroad depends on your bank and the type of card, so please check this with your bank before travelling.
  • Your coordinator advises on the payment options for treatment and services in advance, so that you know what to prepare.
