Blepharoplasty in Baku is performed at licensed clinics by plastic surgeons and oculoplastic specialists. Upper eyelid surgery removes excess skin that makes the eyes look tired and sometimes narrows the field of vision. Lower eyelid surgery deals with bags and puffiness under the eyes. The surgeon explains which approach suits your eyelids and what change is realistic.

You start by sending clear photos of your eyes and face, together with information about your health and eyesight. The surgeon gives a preliminary opinion, and we send a written estimate before you travel. The plan is confirmed at an in-person consultation in Baku. Patients usually stay about 7 to 10 days, until the stitches are removed, and we arrange transfers, accommodation and an interpreter.

Who it may suit

  • Adults with excess skin on the upper eyelids that makes the eyes look heavy or tired
  • People with bags under the eyes caused by fat bulging through the lower eyelids
  • Those whose overhanging upper eyelid skin limits the upper field of vision
  • People in good general health without uncontrolled eye conditions such as severe dry eye, as confirmed by the doctors
  • Patients with realistic expectations who understand that the operation does not fully remove fine wrinkles or dark circles

How the procedure is organised

  1. 1
    Review of your photos

You send photos of your eyes and face from the front and sides, with information about your health, eyesight and any previous eye surgery. The surgeon gives a preliminary opinion, and we prepare a written estimate.

  2. 2
    Consultation in Baku

The surgeon examines the eyelids, discusses your expectations and explains possible risks. An eye check may be arranged, especially if you have dry eyes or have had laser vision correction, and the plan is confirmed before you give consent.

  3. 3
    Surgery day

Upper eyelid surgery is often performed under local anaesthesia, sometimes with sedation, while lower eyelid surgery may need general anaesthesia. The incisions are usually placed in the natural crease, just below the lashes or inside the eyelid.

  4. 4
    First days after surgery

Swelling and bruising are usual in the first days. Cold compresses, rest with your head raised and the drops or ointment prescribed by the surgeon help, and our coordinator stays in contact with you.

  5. 5
Stitch removal and check before flying home

The stitches are usually removed about 5 to 7 days after surgery. The surgeon checks how the eyelids are healing, gives written care instructions and confirms when you can fly.

  6. 6
    Follow-up at home

You send photos at the intervals agreed with the surgeon, and we pass on your questions. The scars usually fade gradually over several months.

What the cost depends on

The cost of blepharoplasty depends on whether the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids or both are treated, the technique and the type of anaesthesia. The clinic and the tests before surgery also play a part. After the surgeon has reviewed your photos, we send you a written estimate before you travel, so you know what is included.

  • Upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both
  • The technique chosen by the surgeon
  • Type of anaesthesia and length of the stay in the clinic
  • Tests and an eye check before surgery
  • Accommodation for you and a companion

Recovery and the trip home

  • Swelling and bruising usually fade over 10 to 14 days, after which many people return to work and everyday life.
  • For the period the surgeon sets, you avoid sport, saunas, heavy lifting and contact lenses, and protect your eyes from bright sun.
  • Temporary dryness, watering or blurred vision may occur and usually settle, but any worsening of vision or severe pain should be reported to the surgeon at once.
  • Flying home is usually possible after the stitches are removed, but the surgeon makes the decision.

Frequently asked questions

How much does blepharoplasty cost in Baku?

The cost depends on whether the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids or both are treated, the technique and the anaesthesia. After the surgeon reviews your photos, we send you a written estimate before you travel. This way you know in advance what is included.

Can the upper and lower eyelids be treated together?

Yes, in many cases both can be treated during one operation. The surgeon decides after the examination, taking into account your health and the condition of the eyelids. Combining both usually means a slightly longer recovery.

Is an eyelid lift the same as treating a drooping eyelid?

Blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat. If the eyelid itself droops because the muscle that lifts it is weak, a different operation called ptosis correction may be needed. The surgeon explains the difference after examining your eyes.

Will the scars be visible?

Upper eyelid incisions are usually hidden in the natural crease, and lower eyelid incisions are placed just below the lashes or inside the eyelid. Scars are often pink at first and fade over several months. How they heal varies from person to person.

When can I fly home after eyelid surgery?

Flying home is usually possible after the stitches are removed, about a week after surgery. The surgeon makes the final decision after a check-up. This is why we usually plan a stay of 7 to 10 days.
