Treatment in Azerbaijan

Typical figures. The exact plan is confirmed by the treating doctor after the medical review.
Gynaecological care in Azerbaijan covers check-ups, diagnostic and surgical laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, treatment of uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts and endometriosis, and preparation for IVF. Many operations are performed through small incisions or through the natural passages without incisions. Treatment takes place in licensed clinics, and gynaecologists from our partner clinics work with an interpreter when needed.
The process starts with your ultrasound, MRI and test results. The treating gynaecologist reviews them and suggests a preliminary plan, and we send you a written cost estimate before you decide. Because many procedures are timed to the menstrual cycle, we plan the dates together with the doctor. The final plan is confirmed after an in-person examination, and we organise the visa, transfers, accommodation and interpreter.
The list below shows the most common requests. The doctor recommends the right option after reviewing your documents.

Through several small incisions the surgeon examines the pelvic organs and can treat many problems in the same operation. It is used for cysts, endometriosis, adhesions and checking the fallopian tubes.
The inside of the uterus is examined with a thin camera through the cervix, without incisions. Polyps, small fibroids, septa and adhesions can often be removed during the same procedure.
Depending on the size, number and position of the fibroids, the doctor may suggest monitoring, medicines, hysteroscopic or laparoscopic removal, or other surgery. Women planning pregnancy are offered organ-preserving treatment whenever possible.
Some cysts only need monitoring, while others are removed laparoscopically with care to preserve healthy ovarian tissue. Endometriosis treatment combines surgery and medicines, and the plan depends on symptoms and plans for pregnancy.
Before IVF the doctor may recommend hysteroscopy, laparoscopy or treatment of fibroids and polyps that can affect implantation. This can be arranged together with the fertility clinic.

Included in our coordination
Send whatever you already have. If something is missing, the doctor will tell you what else is needed.
For a check-up or hysteroscopy a few days are often enough. After laparoscopic surgery many patients stay about five to seven days so that the doctor can check them before the flight home. The gynaecologist confirms the timing for your case.
Many examinations and procedures, such as hysteroscopy and some ultrasound scans, are best done on certain days of the menstrual cycle, usually soon after the period ends. Pregnancy is always ruled out before any procedure. We plan the dates together with the doctor.
Planned operations are postponed if you might be pregnant or have an acute pelvic infection. Sudden severe abdominal pain, fever or heavy bleeding need urgent care at home first, not a planned trip.
In many cases this is possible, and we take your preference into account when arranging appointments. If needed, an interpreter attends the consultation. Before travelling you can also book an online consultation with a doctor.
Tell us about your condition. A coordinator will reply in your language, and the specialist will review your documents.
