Facelift in Baku
Surgery to lift sagging tissues of the face and neck, with a plan the surgeon confirms after examination.
Typical figures. The exact plan is confirmed by the treating doctor after the medical review.
A facelift in Baku is performed at licensed clinics by plastic surgeons. The operation lifts and tightens sagging tissues of the lower face and jawline, and it is often combined with a neck lift. Depending on your anatomy, it may also be planned together with eyelid surgery. The surgeon discusses how extensive the operation should be in your case and what result is realistic, since a facelift does not stop natural ageing.
Planning begins with photos of your face and neck from several angles, together with information about your health, medicines and smoking. The surgeon reviews them and gives a preliminary opinion, after which we prepare a written estimate before you travel. Final decisions are made only after an in-person consultation in Baku. A typical stay is 10 to 14 days, until the stitches are out, and we arrange transfers, accommodation and an interpreter.
Who it may suit
- Adults with sagging skin and soft tissues of the lower face, jawline or neck
- People who feel that injections or other non-surgical treatments no longer give the change they want
- Non-smokers or those ready to stop smoking for the period the surgeon sets before and after surgery
- People with well-controlled blood pressure and no conditions that rule out surgery, as confirmed by the doctors
- Patients with realistic expectations who understand that a facelift does not stop the ageing process
How the procedure is organised
-
1
Review of your photos
You send photos of your face and neck from the front, both sides and at three quarters, with details of your health, medicines and any previous facial surgery or injections. After looking at them the surgeon shares a preliminary view, and we put together a written estimate.
-
2
Consultation and tests in Baku
The surgeon examines the skin and soft tissues of the face and neck, discusses your expectations and explains possible risks. Blood tests, an ECG and an anaesthetist assessment are usually arranged, and blood pressure is checked carefully because it affects bleeding.
-
3
Surgery day
The operation is performed under general anaesthesia or under sedation with local anaesthesia, as the surgeon and anaesthetist decide. Techniques may include SMAS lifting, which works on the deeper layer under the skin, and the incisions usually run around the ears and into the hairline.
-
4
First days after surgery
You usually spend one or two nights in the clinic. A bandage and sometimes thin drains are used at first, and swelling, bruising and a feeling of tightness are expected. You rest with your head raised while our coordinator stays in touch with you.
-
5
Stitch removal and check before flying home
Stitches are usually removed in stages over 7 to 14 days. The surgeon checks the healing, explains how to care for the scars and confirms when flying is safe for you.
-
6
Follow-up at home
You share photos with the surgeon at agreed intervals, and we forward your questions. Swelling and numbness around the ears may take several months to settle completely.
What the cost depends on
The cost of a facelift depends on the extent of the operation, whether the neck is treated as well and whether eyelid surgery is added. The technique, the anaesthesia, the clinic and the tests before surgery also matter. Once the surgeon has reviewed your photos, we send a written estimate before you travel, listing what is included.
- Extent of the lift, face only or face and neck
- Combined procedures such as eyelid surgery
- Type of anaesthesia and nights in the clinic
- Tests and consultations before surgery
- Accommodation for you and a companion during the stay
Recovery and the trip home
- Swelling and bruising usually fade over 2 to 3 weeks, while a feeling of tightness or numbness near the ears may last longer.
- For the period the surgeon sets, you avoid smoking, sport, saunas, heavy lifting and bending forward, and you sleep with your head raised.
- The scars around the ears are usually pink at first and fade over several months, and sun protection and the care advised by the surgeon help.
- Flying home is possible only when the surgeon allows it, usually after the main stitches are removed and the healing has been checked.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a facelift cost in Baku?
The price depends on the extent of the lift, whether the neck is included and whether other procedures are combined. After the surgeon reviews your photos, we send a written estimate before you travel, so the costs are clear in advance.
What is the difference between a full facelift and a neck lift?
A neck lift treats loose skin and bands in the neck. A full facelift usually covers the cheeks, the lower face and the jawline and often includes the neck as well. The surgeon decides on the extent after examining you.
How is SMAS lifting related to a facelift?
SMAS lifting is one of the techniques a surgeon may use during a facelift. It tightens not only the skin but also the deeper layer of tissue beneath it. Whether this technique suits you is decided by the surgeon after the examination.
How should I prepare for a facelift?
Smoking slows healing, so the surgeon usually asks you to stop for several weeks before and after surgery. Blood pressure should be well controlled. If you take blood thinners, do not stop them on your own, because the doctor who prescribed them decides this together with the surgeon.
When can I fly home after a facelift?
Flying home is usually possible once the surgeon has checked the healing and removed the main stitches. This is why we usually plan a stay of 10 to 14 days. The final decision always rests with the surgeon.
