Dental implants in Baku are placed at licensed dental clinics. An implant replaces the root of a missing tooth and later supports a crown, a bridge or a full arch of teeth. Before deciding, the dentist checks the volume and quality of the bone on a CT scan, because this shows whether implants can be placed straight away or bone grafting is needed first.

Many patients combine implants with other dental treatment in Azerbaijan, such as fillings, root canal treatment or crowns. You send a recent CT scan or panoramic X-ray, the dentist suggests a preliminary plan, and we send a written estimate before you travel. Implant treatment usually takes two trips with a few months of healing in between. We organise transfers, accommodation and an interpreter for each visit.

Who it may suit

  • Adults who have lost one or several teeth
  • People with no teeth in one jaw who would like fixed teeth instead of a removable denture
  • Those whose removable dentures are uncomfortable or do not hold well
  • Patients with enough bone, or those ready for bone grafting if the dentist recommends it
  • People with healthy gums and well controlled general conditions, as confirmed by the dentist

How the procedure is organised

  1. 1
    Review of your scans

You send a CT scan or panoramic X-ray and photos of your teeth. The dentist suggests a preliminary treatment plan, and we prepare a written estimate.

  2. 2
    Consultation and planning in Baku

The dentist examines you in person and, if needed, takes a new CT scan. The plan is confirmed only after this examination, and other teeth can be treated during the same visit.

  3. 3
    Implant placement

Implants are usually placed under local anaesthesia, and sedation may be offered for longer procedures. Where the bone allows it, temporary teeth may be fitted so that you do not leave without teeth.

  4. 4
    Check before flying home

A few days later the dentist checks how the gums are healing. Flying home is usually possible soon after this check, and the dentist gives you care instructions for the healing period.

  5. 5
    Healing at home

The implants integrate with the bone over several months while you live your normal life. We stay in touch and pass any questions or photos to the dentist.

  6. 6
    Second trip for permanent teeth

The dentist checks that the implants are stable, takes impressions or a digital scan and fits the permanent crowns or prosthesis. This visit usually takes several days.

What the cost depends on

The cost of dental implants depends on the number of implants, the implant system, the need for bone grafting and the type of crowns or prosthesis. After reviewing your scans, the dentist prepares a treatment plan, and we send you a written estimate before you travel. If the examination in Baku shows that the plan should change, the estimate is updated before treatment starts.

  • Number of implants and the implant system
  • Bone grafting or sinus lift, if needed
  • Type and material of the crowns or prosthesis
  • Temporary teeth for the healing period
  • Treatment of other teeth during the same visit
Get a written estimate You receive the estimate in writing before you book anything.

Recovery and the trip home

  • Swelling and discomfort usually settle within a few days, and the dentist prescribes medicines if needed.
  • Soft food, careful oral hygiene and avoiding smoking help the gums heal in the first days.
  • Implants usually need 3 to 6 months to integrate with the bone, and the dentist sets the exact timing.
  • Flying home is usually possible a few days after implant placement, although after a sinus lift the dentist may ask you to wait longer.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to have teeth done in Baku?

The cost depends on how many implants you need, the implant system, bone grafting and the type of crowns. After the dentist reviews your CT scan or X-ray, we send you a written estimate before you travel. You know in advance what is included in your treatment.

How many trips will I need?

Implant treatment usually takes two trips. During the first one the implants are placed, and after 3 to 6 months of healing you return for the permanent crowns. The dentist confirms the timing for your case.

Can implants and teeth be done in one trip?

In some cases the dentist can place implants and fit temporary teeth during the same visit. Whether this is possible depends on the bone and is decided after the CT scan and examination. The permanent teeth are usually fitted later, once the implants have healed.

Where can I read reviews of dental implants in Baku?

We can share information about the clinic and the dentist, including their experience with implants. Before travelling, you can have an online consultation and ask any questions. The decision is always yours, and we suggest making it after you have spoken with the dentist.

Does the dentist speak Russian?

Many dentists in Azerbaijan speak Russian. If needed, we provide an interpreter for consultations and treatment. Your treatment plan and documents can be prepared in Russian or English.
